Assylum for German Homeschoolers?

Article HERE, Thoughts?
One thing that really jumped out at me:
"No parental couple can offer a breadth of education [that can] replace experienced teachers," says Kraus, of the German Teachers' Association.

I am so thankful that I live in a country with homeschooling freedom. In a state with private homeschooling. Thank you HSLDA for all that you do. May God bless you and keep you.

  1. I saw that article too. Guess I never thought about it before then as to the limitations of other countries. I am so glad that I live in a country that allows us freedom on how to educate our children. That's a bunch of balogona too that "nobody" can replace experienced teachers... many times a parent is a better teacher because they know their children. Especially if they rely on God to tell them how and what to teach :)

  2. The motive behind laws like this in Germany comes from a government without God, that wants to have a strong influence on the children. To "raise" them with what they consider ideal philosophies.

Our government leaders too, are without God, but since this country has more of a Christian background in the beginning, our fundamental rights as parents seem to be somewhat protected. I do believe though, that the public school education in this country does the same thing, as far as trying to influence the children with they consider "ideal" philosophies.

I found it interesting that they said that they it's unusual to approve assylum for home schoolers, but not for homosexuals that are in danger.

  3. We do have that freedom at the moment; there's still a lot of negativity toward hs'ers though, unfortunately. More articles then not seek to undermine it & portray it in a negative light. I will continue to pray our freedoms will not be lost...!

  4. I can't imagine not having the freedom to homeschool! That is a scary thought.
