coffee with a friend

Today I had coffee with a friend and it made my day. I was feeling down. I was in the dumps. Then a wonderful christian friend came over. Sometimes all we need is fellowship. Thank you God for sending me a friend!

cost of food

Have you ever looked at the USDA website to find what the "cost of food" in your area is? I have looked at the thrifty alaska plan and I definitely go over it. I would like to see how close I can get to their estimated cost.
Do you think your family is on the thrifty or moderate plan? What do you think of their free cookbook? Some of these things I already do. I do use powdered milk. I do buy fruit and vegetables in season. I do buy economy amounts if possible. I wonder if the plan for Alaska is rural or urban. That would make a difference.
